About Mrs. Lopez

"I call my students 'my kids' because in our year together they aren't just kids on my class list,
they become a part of my heart."

Teaching is a special career. The difference and relationships you make with your students last a lifetime and that is one of my favorite parts of being a teacher. Ever since I was little I always wanted to work with children. I am so thankful that I was able to achieve this goal of mine, when I got my job as a second grade teacher here at Maple Hill in 2008. Maple Hill School is full of wonderful teachers and staff. The teachers and staff collaborate with each other to make sure all students receive the best education. We want our students We love and respect our students, just as our students respect us. As part of Naugatuck Public Schools, we empower a community of learners and want our students to epitomize the Vision of the Graduate.
