About Mrs. Curtis
I care about my students like they are my own. I challenge them and support them. I think it is very important to know what is going on in a child's life to connect with them. Creating a safe and nurturing classroom is important for a child's success. The reward I find in teaching is knowing I can make a big impact in someone's life.
I was born and raised in Naugatuck and had the opportunity to attend multiple Naugatuck public schools from kindergarten through high school. I attended Prospect Street School, City Hill Middle School, and graduated from Naugatuck High School! My family owns a pizza place in town where I help out at sometimes. Most of my family lives in Greece where I visit them most summers. I love spending time with my family and help out at my family's pizza place that is here in town. I have a one year old daughter and love watching
Maple Hill is a very close-knit community and we work as a cohesive team to provide the best education for all students. We set high expectations for students that correspond to the Vision of the Graduate. I couldn't ask to work with more amazing people, I am blessed to be part of the Maple Hill family!
