K-5 Report Cards

Dear K-5 families,

This week you should have received your child’s report card. This report card is designed to communicate your student’s progress on the district’s competencies - our highest expectations for student learning. These competencies are available on our district website here.  We encourage you to explore and examine what learning looks like for your child in his or her grade level.

As a district, we understand that our students learn at different rates and in different ways. We value and expect growth.

The report card is designed to illustrate your child’s learning journey for the year on skills and concepts. The bar depicting growth is meant to convey an entry point for the beginning of the year and where students are expected to grow by the end of the year. The bars capture how your student is growing toward grade-level competence through repeated exposure and practice. Teachers monitor and plan learning so that all children can access our competencies and continue to grow.

You can find more information about how to read your child's report card here.

As a district, we continue to build our capacity around the report card and welcome you to collaborate with us and discuss any questions or concerns you might have so that we might continue to improve communication between families and schools.

Please fill out our survey to leave feedback about the report card.
